About this Workshop!
Join our Home Ed Cooking Academy, a monthly hands-on cooking programme designed for young people aged 11–16 who want to build confidence, independence and practical cooking skills. Each month, our young chefs will get hands-on with carefully planned recipes, preparing a variety of main meals and desserts while developing essential techniques such as knife skills, bread making, sauce making, flavour development and independent meal preparation. The programme follows a progressive skills pathway, helping learners develop essential cooking and life skills in a fun, supportive and practical environment. Throughout the year, learners will build their skills and confidence before putting everything they've learned into practice at our special Home Ed Come Dine With Me showcase, where they’ll plan, prepare and serve a meal for invited family members to celebrate their achievements. This is an ongoing monthly programme with sessions taking place during term time. Where spaces are available individual sessions can also be booked, giving you the flexibility to choose specific dates that work for you. Please note that there are a total of 7 sessions; however, the membership is spread over the 10 months during which these workshops occur, making the price just £21 per month. Session Dates: 25th September, 23rd October, 27th November, 29th January, 26th February, 28th May, 25th June
