Cooking with Santa: A Festive Day Full of Flour, Laughter & Christmas Magic

There’s something truly special about seeing a room full of excited children, little hands busy with baking and faces full of concentration, and this weekend, that’s exactly what we experienced when we welcomed families to our Cooking with Santa sessions.

What made this event extra special was that the children had no idea Santa was joining us. The grown-ups, however, were in on the secret and waited in excited anticipation, watching the session unfold and quietly counting down the moments until the big surprise.

Little Chefs at Work…

As always, the session began with the big recipe book reveal. Our young chefs got stuck straight into baking; measuring, mixing, decorating and chatting away as they worked. There was plenty of laughter, lots of flour, and so much focus as they followed the recipe step by step.

Meanwhile, the adults looked on with knowing smiles… all waiting for that moment.

And Then… Santa Arrived 🎅

When Santa made his entrance, the reactions were priceless. Wide eyes, gasps, giggles, and pure disbelief filled the room. The children were completely surprised, and the magic on their faces is something we won’t forget in a hurry.

Santa didn’t just pop in for a wave, he joined the children, chatting with them, encouraging their baking, and admiring their festive creations. Even those who arrived feeling a little shy soon found themselves smiling, laughing, and getting fully stuck in.

More Than Just Baking

At Creative Kitchen, our sessions are about bringing people together and creating magical memories. From the laughter as children decorated their bakes to the excited whispers when Santa arrived, every moment was full of festive magic. Watching families share these experiences, celebrate

each creation, and enjoy time together reminded us why these events are so special  and why Christmas is the perfect time to cook, create, and connect.

Events of this scale don’t happen without

a huge amount of preparation. From planning recipes and timings to setting up the space and supporting each session, an incredible amount of care went on behind the scenes. I’m so proud of the Creative Kitchen team, whose organisation, energy, and teamwork truly brought the day to life.

Thank you to all the families who joined us and trusted us with such a special part of your Christmas celebrations. Seeing nearly 100 children leave with smiles, festive bakes, and magical memories was the perfect reminder of why we do what we do.

Cooking with Santa was everything we hoped it would be; magical, surprising, a little bit messy, and full of heart. We can’t wait to do it all again next year!
